From the Secretary:
Newcastle has already been publicised and the application forms distributed. I'm told that interest is high and that the list for Provost flying is now closed. However there are still some seats available for the flying competition. (You can do both.) In my role as chief (and only?) barker to the Association, Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!Regalia
Your secretary, as instructed, (he's a compliant sort of chap) has investigated the possibility of a lapel pin for the Association. He is pleased to report that a design and advantageous (cheap) price has been agreed by your executive and should be available at the Newcastle meeting. The price is so advantageous it has been decided to give one to each new and current member. If you're not at Newcastle, yours will be sent.
Blazer badges. At the last AGM there was no mass of enthusiasm for producing a fresh batch of badges. However, Chris Linton would like the matter discussed again so it will be on the agenda at Newcastle.
Madam President has asked to be excused a paragraph in this letter on the grounds that she is over committed organizing our entertainment in the North East. I'm sure from what I hear that the deficiency will be a small price to pay.
