Venue

The Venue this year is, as last year, the Royal College of General Practitioners. The meeting and dinner will be held in the same room and we will vacate to another room within the same building while the caterers prepare the Long Room for Dinner. Those feeling more energetic may wish to take a walk in Hyde Park which is immediately opposite.

A map is available.

Accommodation

You have the freedom of choosing your own accommodation - no specific arrangement has been made with any hotel. This allows you to choose the type of accommodation you prefer. The central location means most hotel chains are represented within 15 minutes walk. Experience has shown that individuals can find better deals by approaching hotels directly or checking their website than can be negotiated in advance for group bookings. Several rooms are available at the college, these are clean and adequate but many are not en suite. We have been offered members booking rates by the college for these rooms; the price varies according to the room provided. Prices vary from £45 for single occupancy to £72 for a double room, inclusive of full English breakfast. The rooms are located on the top floor of the building but do not despair there is a lift! These rooms can be booked by contacting me at home on 01575 540250 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Parking

The college has 8 parking spaces available some in front of the building. These cost £8.00 per day; further spaces are available at a nearby site at £12.00 per day. These spaces must be booked in advance by contacting me at home on 01575 540250 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
