1988 spring meeting
5th-6th March 1988, Luton
A snack lunch was provided in McAlpine Aviation's VIP lounge before a tour of the "biz-jets" of the famous: gold-plated seat buckles were a nice touch! Later some members "flew" a circuit at Gatwick in the £7.5 million electronic masterpiece called the Boeing 767 simulator and were able to cause millions of pounds worth of damage by "crashing" it (in one case upside down in Crawley High Street!). At Bowker Air Services next morning, crop spraying was demonstrated at Flight Level six inches.Lectures
