"Airships and Cardington"
Group Captain Peter Garth (Airship Heritage Trust). Cardington started manufacturing airships in 1916, and the huge hangars and aerial Danger Area near Cranfield remain. The story of the rigid British airship is told culminating with the two giants, HMAS R100 and R101. The use of the airship today is discussed.

Vacate rooms and end of the formal BMPA meeting then Cars and Aircraft depart for the 21 mile trip to Old Warden: "Shuttleworth Pageant" of Vehicles starts 1.30pm and Aircraft Flying display at 2pm.

Single room occupant whole weekend £245
Per person sharing double room whole weekend £205

Some variation on these costs are possible, please mark and return booking form with payment as soon as possible. There are only a small number of rooms pre-booked at the conference Centre, which will be allocated in the order that payments are received. At present plenty of further rooms are available, but this may change. You are free to make your own arrangements if you wish as you can see from the form, but if you do so then you will have to make your own arrangements to get to and from the Centre. Please detail any additional Guests you would like to invite and pay for on the form.
