1997 Autumn Meeting, August 29-31, Halfpenny Green/Black Country

Friday 29th August

Arrivals by air to Halfpenny Green airfield, Bobbington or by road to the Goldthorn Hotel on the edge of Wolverhampton. Dinner at the hotel followed by talk on the Black Country.

Saturday 30th August

Guided tour and free time at Cosford Aerospace Museum with buffet lunch or tour and demonstration at Staffordshire Crystal Glassworks, visit to Broadfield House glass museum and lunch at Swan Hotel. Afternoon visit to the Shugborough Estate or trip on the Blackcountryman narrow boat. AGM in the Windsor Room followed by wine and annual dinner.

Sunday 31st August

Trip to the Black Country Living Museum followed by lunch at the hotel before departure.
