Notice is hereby given of an Extraordinary General Meeting of the British Medical Pilots' Association on Sat 23rd Feb at 14.00 in the Long Room, Royal College of General Practicitoners, Princes Gate, Hyde Park, London.Agenda
1. Proposed change to article 11 of the Articles of Association.An EGM has been called by the executive committee as directed by the Annual General Meeting of 2007, to discuss a proposed amendment to the Articles of Association.
This will be a brief meeting to discuss this one item only.
The article in question is article 11.
"A quorum for a General Meeting shall be 20 members. If a quorum is not present within 15 minutes of the time set for the meeting, it shall be adjourned to such place, date and time as the executive committee shall decide."It is proposed that article 11 be amended to:
"A quorum for a General Meeting shall be 10% of the members eligible to vote. If a quorum is not present within 15 minutes of the time set for the meeting, it shall be adjourned to such place, date and time as the executive committee shall decide."The executive places this proposed change before the members for their consideration.
